This triple-drug combination provides complementary mechanisms to improve glycaemic control in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Vildapride DM Tablets / Vilpower DM Tablets combine the benefits of an SGLT2 inhibitor, a DPP-4 inhibitor, and a biguanide in a single formulation. Vildapride DM Tablets / Vilpower DM Tablets are indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus requiring combination oral antidiabetic therapy.

Vildapride DM Tablets / Vilpower DM Tablets combine three antihyperglycaemic agents with complementary mechanisms of action. Dapagliflozin inhibits sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2), thereby reducing renal glucose reabsorption, lowering the renal threshold for glucose, and increasing urinary glucose excretion. Vildagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that rapidly and completely inhibits DPP-4 activity, resulting in increased fasting and postprandial endogenous incretin hormone levels. This enhances the sensitivity of pancreatic beta cells to glucose, improving glucose-dependent insulin secretion while suppressing glucagon release. Metformin is an antihyperglycaemic agent that lowers both basal and postprandial plasma glucose by decreasing hepatic glucose production, reducing intestinal glucose absorption, and improving peripheral insulin sensitivity.

The recommended dosage is one tablet taken orally once daily with food, or as directed by the treating physician. Dosage should be individualized according to the patient's clinical response and glycaemic status.

Vildapride DM Tablets / Vilpower DM Tablets are contraindicated in patients with a history of serious hypersensitivity reactions to Dapagliflozin, Vildagliptin, Metformin, or any component of the formulation. They are also contraindicated in patients with metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis.
