Vildapride Tablets contain Vildagliptin 50 mg. Vildagliptin is a selective dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor used for improving glycaemic control in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Vildapride Tablets contain Vildagliptin, a selective DPP-4 inhibitor that enhances endogenous incretin hormone activity, resulting in glucose-dependent insulin secretion and reduced glucagon release. It provides effective control of both fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels with a low risk of hypoglycaemia when used as monotherapy. The tablet can be administered with or without food, offering flexibility and improved patient compliance.

Vildapride Tablets are indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Vildagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that increases endogenous incretin hormone levels by preventing their degradation. Increased incretin activity enhances the sensitivity of pancreatic beta cells to glucose, resulting in improved glucose-dependent insulin secretion. Vildagliptin also enhances the glucose sensitivity of alpha cells, leading to more appropriate glucagon secretion. The improved insulin-to-glucagon ratio during hyperglycaemia reduces both fasting and postprandial hepatic glucose production, thereby improving overall glycaemic control.

The usual recommended dose is 50 mg twice daily, with one tablet taken in the morning and one tablet in the evening. Vildapride Tablets may be administered with or without food, or as directed by the treating physician.

Vildapride Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Vildagliptin or any component of the formulation.
