Amlong A Tablets contain Amlodipine 5 mg and Atenolol 25 mg/50 mg.

Amlong A Tablets combine the antihypertensive effects of Amlodipine, a long-acting calcium channel blocker, and Atenolol, a cardioselective beta-blocker, to provide effective blood pressure control. The combination reduces peripheral vascular resistance, decreases cardiac workload, and helps improve cardiovascular outcomes in patients with mild to moderate hypertension.

Amlong A Tablets are indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate hypertension.

Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits the transmembrane influx of calcium ions into cardiac and vascular smooth muscle cells, resulting in peripheral vasodilation, reduced vascular resistance, and lowered blood pressure. Atenolol is a selective β1-adrenergic receptor blocker that primarily acts on the heart to reduce heart rate, myocardial contractility, and cardiac output, thereby lowering blood pressure. It has minimal intrinsic sympathomimetic activity and no membrane-stabilizing activity.

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, or as directed by the physician.
