Amlong TL Tablets contain Telmisartan 40 mg and Amlodipine 5 mg.

Amlong TL Tablets combine the complementary antihypertensive actions of Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and Amlodipine, a long-acting calcium channel blocker, to provide effective and sustained blood pressure control. The combination reduces peripheral vascular resistance, inhibits the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, and helps lower cardiovascular risk while providing convenient once-daily dosing.

Amlong TL Tablets are indicated for the treatment of hypertension.

Telmisartan selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptors present in vascular smooth muscle and the adrenal gland, thereby inhibiting the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II. This results in vasodilation and a reduction in blood pressure. Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits the transmembrane influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle, producing peripheral arterial vasodilation, reducing peripheral vascular resistance, and effectively lowering blood pressure.

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, or as directed by the physician.

Amlong TL Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Telmisartan, Amlodipine, or any component of the formulation. The product should also be avoided during pregnancy.
