Amlong Trio Tablets combine three complementary antihypertensive agents in a single formulation to provide effective blood pressure control. Amlodipine produces peripheral vasodilation by blocking calcium channels, Telmisartan inhibits the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system by selectively blocking AT1 receptors, and Hydrochlorothiazide promotes sodium and water excretion through its thiazide diuretic action. This triple combination helps achieve sustained blood pressure reduction and improves treatment convenience with once-daily dosing.

Amlong Trio Tablets are indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension.

Amlodipine is a peripheral arterial vasodilator that acts directly on vascular smooth muscle by inhibiting calcium ion influx, thereby reducing peripheral vascular resistance and lowering blood pressure. Telmisartan selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor in vascular smooth muscle and the adrenal gland, preventing vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that acts on the renal tubules to increase the excretion of sodium and chloride, producing diuresis that may be accompanied by potassium and bicarbonate loss, thereby contributing to blood pressure reduction.

The recommended dosage is one tablet orally once daily, or as directed by the physician.

Amlong Trio Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Amlodipine, Telmisartan, Hydrochlorothiazide, or any component of the formulation. The combination should be avoided in patients with severe renal impairment, where loop diuretics are preferred over thiazide diuretics.
