Amlozaar Tablets contain Amlodipine 5 mg and Losartan Potassium 50 mg.

Amlozaar Tablets combine the antihypertensive effects of Amlodipine, a long-acting calcium channel blocker, and Losartan Potassium, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), to provide effective and sustained blood pressure control. The combination reduces peripheral vascular resistance, inhibits the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, and helps lower cardiovascular risk through complementary mechanisms while offering convenient once-daily dosing.

Amlozaar Tablets are indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension.

Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits the transmembrane influx of calcium ions into cardiac and vascular smooth muscle, resulting in peripheral arterial vasodilation, reduced peripheral vascular resistance, and lowering of blood pressure. Losartan Potassium is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to AT1 receptors, thereby preventing vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, leading to vasodilation and improved blood pressure control.

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, or as directed by the physician.

Amlozaar Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Amlodipine, Losartan Potassium, or any component of the formulation. The product should be avoided during pregnancy and is contraindicated in patients with diabetes receiving concomitant aliskiren therapy.
