Angizaar-H Tablets contain Losartan Potassium 50 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg.

Angizaar-H Tablets combine the antihypertensive effects of Losartan Potassium, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic, to provide effective blood pressure control. Losartan inhibits the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system by blocking AT1 receptors, while Hydrochlorothiazide promotes sodium and water excretion through the kidneys. This complementary dual mechanism helps reduce peripheral vascular resistance, decrease blood volume, and achieve sustained blood pressure reduction with convenient once-daily dosing.

Angizaar-H Tablets are indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate hypertension.

Losartan Potassium is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to AT1 receptors, preventing vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, thereby lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that acts on the distal renal tubules to inhibit electrolyte reabsorption, increasing the excretion of sodium and water. This natriuretic and diuretic effect reduces plasma volume and contributes to effective blood pressure control.

The recommended dosage is one tablet orally once daily in the morning, or as directed by the physician.

Angizaar-H Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Losartan Potassium, Hydrochlorothiazide, or any component of the formulation. The product should be avoided during pregnancy and is contraindicated in patients with diabetes receiving concomitant aliskiren therapy.
