Arbitel AM Tablets contain Telmisartan 40 mg/80 mg and Amlodipine 5 mg.

Arbitel AM Tablets combine the complementary antihypertensive actions of Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and Amlodipine, a long-acting calcium channel blocker, to provide effective and sustained blood pressure control. Telmisartan inhibits the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system by selectively blocking AT1 receptors, while Amlodipine produces peripheral vasodilation by blocking calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle. The combination offers effective once-daily blood pressure management and improved cardiovascular protection.

Arbitel AM Tablets are indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults.

Telmisartan selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor, thereby inhibiting its vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects, resulting in vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits the transmembrane influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle, producing peripheral arterial vasodilation, reducing peripheral vascular resistance, and effectively lowering blood pressure.

The recommended starting dosage is Telmisartan 40 mg + Amlodipine 5 mg once daily. If additional blood pressure control is required, the dose may be increased to Telmisartan 80 mg + Amlodipine 5 mg once daily, or as directed by the physician.

Arbitel AM Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Telmisartan, Amlodipine, or any component of the formulation.
