Arbitel MT Tablets contain Telmisartan 40 mg and Metoprolol Succinate 25 mg/50 mg.

Arbitel MT Tablets combine the antihypertensive benefits of Telmisartan and Metoprolol Succinate to provide effective once-daily blood pressure control. Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II at the AT1 receptor, reducing vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, while Metoprolol Succinate, a cardioselective beta1-adrenergic blocker, decreases heart rate, cardiac output, and renin release. This complementary combination helps achieve sustained blood pressure reduction and offers additional cardiovascular protection in patients with essential hypertension.

Arbitel MT Tablets are indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension.

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively inhibits the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor in vascular smooth muscle and the adrenal gland, thereby preventing vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, resulting in reduced blood pressure. Metoprolol Succinate is a selective beta1-adrenergic receptor blocker that lowers blood pressure by competitively antagonizing catecholamines at cardiac beta1 receptors, reducing cardiac output, decreasing sympathetic outflow from the central nervous system, and suppressing renin activity.

The usual starting dose is one tablet containing Telmisartan 40 mg and Metoprolol Succinate 25 mg/50 mg orally once daily, or as directed by the physician.

Arbitel MT Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Telmisartan, Metoprolol Succinate, or any component of the formulation. They are also contraindicated in patients with severe bradycardia, second- or third-degree heart block, cardiogenic shock, decompensated cardiac failure, or sick sinus syndrome unless a permanent pacemaker is in place.
