Each sustained-release tablet contains Ranolazine 500 mg.

Anti-anginal sustained-release formulation designed for the management of chronic angina. Provides anti-ischemic benefits without significantly affecting heart rate or blood pressure.

Indicated for the treatment of chronic angina.

Ranolazine exerts anti-ischemic and anti-anginal effects independent of reductions in heart rate or blood pressure. It inhibits the late cardiac sodium current (INa) at therapeutic concentrations, thereby reducing intracellular sodium and calcium overload in ischemic myocardial cells. This helps improve myocardial relaxation and reduce anginal symptoms.

Recommended initial dose is 500 mg twice daily, which may be increased to 1000 mg twice daily based on clinical response and tolerability or as directed by the physician.

Contraindicated in patients with liver cirrhosis and in patients receiving strong CYP3A inhibitors such as ketoconazole, clarithromycin, or nelfinavir. Contraindicated with CYP3A inducers such as rifampin and phenobarbital.
