Each tablet contains Diltiazem Hydrochloride 30 mg / 60 mg.

Calcium channel blocker formulation designed for the management of hypertension and chronic stable angina. Helps improve exercise tolerance and reduce myocardial oxygen demand through vasodilation and reduced cardiac workload.

Indicated for the treatment of hypertension and for improving exercise tolerance in patients with chronic stable angina.

Diltiazem is a calcium channel antagonist that inhibits the influx of calcium ions into cardiac and vascular smooth muscle during membrane depolarization. It decreases sinoatrial and atrioventricular conduction, reduces vascular resistance, and exerts a negative inotropic effect, thereby lowering blood pressure and myocardial oxygen demand.

Initial dose: 30 mg four times daily before meals and at bedtime. Dosage should be increased gradually at 1–2 day intervals in divided doses three or four times daily until optimum response is achieved. Average optimum dosage range is 180–360 mg daily or as directed by the physician.

Contraindicated in patients with sick sinus syndrome without a functioning ventricular pacemaker, second- or third-degree AV block without a functioning ventricular pacemaker, hypersensitivity to diltiazem, hypotension (below 90 mm Hg), acute myocardial infarction with pulmonary congestion, and severe cardiac conduction disorders.
