Dabilong Capsules are available in strengths containing Dabigatran Etexilate 75 mg, 110 mg, and 150 mg.

Dabilong Capsules contain Dabigatran Etexilate, an oral direct thrombin (Factor IIa) inhibitor that provides effective anticoagulation by directly inhibiting thrombin activity. The drug prevents fibrin clot formation, thrombus development, and thrombin-induced platelet aggregation without requiring routine coagulation monitoring in most patients. Dabilong is indicated for stroke prevention in non-valvular atrial fibrillation, treatment and prevention of venous thromboembolism, and thromboprophylaxis following orthopedic surgery.

Dabilong Capsules are indicated for the prevention of stroke, systemic embolism, and reduction of vascular mortality in adult patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. They are also indicated for the prevention of venous thromboembolic events in patients undergoing orthopedic surgery, treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), prevention of recurrent DVT and PE, and reduction of related mortality.

Dabigatran Etexilate is a prodrug that is rapidly converted to Dabigatran, a potent, competitive, direct thrombin (Factor IIa) inhibitor. Dabigatran and its active acyl glucuronide metabolites inhibit both free and fibrin-bound thrombin, thereby preventing the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin and inhibiting thrombus formation. By directly inhibiting thrombin activity, Dabigatran effectively reduces clot development and minimizes the risk of thromboembolic events.

For the prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation and creatinine clearance (CrCl) greater than 30 mL/min, the recommended dosage is 150 mg orally twice daily. For patients with CrCl between 15 and 30 mL/min, the recommended dosage is 75 mg orally twice daily. For the treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), patients with CrCl greater than 30 mL/min should receive 150 mg orally twice daily following 5 to 10 days of parenteral anticoagulation. For reducing the risk of recurrent DVT and PE after previous treatment, the recommended dosage is 150 mg twice daily. For thromboprophylaxis following hip replacement surgery in patients with CrCl greater than 30 mL/min, the recommended dose is 110 mg on the first day followed by 220 mg once daily. Dabigatran should be temporarily discontinued before invasive or surgical procedures and restarted promptly when clinically appropriate.

Dabilong Capsules are contraindicated in patients with active pathological bleeding, known hypersensitivity to Dabigatran or any component of the formulation, and in patients with mechanical prosthetic heart valves.
