Each tablet contains Olmesartan 20 mg or 40 mg + Chlorthalidone 12.5 mg.

Olmat CT Tablets combine Olmesartan, a selective angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), with Chlorthalidone, a long-acting thiazide-like diuretic, to provide effective once-daily management of hypertension. Olmesartan reduces peripheral vascular resistance by blocking the vasoconstrictor effects of angiotensin II, while Chlorthalidone promotes sustained sodium and water excretion, resulting in additional blood pressure reduction. This dual-mechanism combination provides prolonged antihypertensive efficacy and supports long-term cardiovascular risk reduction.

Olmat CT Tablets are indicated for the treatment of hypertension.

Olmesartan is a selective angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptor antagonist that blocks the vasoconstrictor effects of angiotensin II by preventing its binding to AT1 receptors in vascular smooth muscle, thereby lowering peripheral vascular resistance and blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a long-acting thiazide-related diuretic that acts primarily on the distal renal tubule by inhibiting sodium and chloride reabsorption, increasing urinary excretion of sodium and water, reducing plasma volume, and contributing to sustained antihypertensive activity. The complementary mechanisms of these agents provide effective and prolonged blood pressure control.

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, or as directed by the treating physician.

Olmat CT Tablets are contraindicated in patients with anuria and in those with known hypersensitivity to Olmesartan, Chlorthalidone, or any component of the formulation.
