Each tablet contains Telmisartan IP 40 mg + Cilnidipine 10 mg.

Telplus Tablets combine Telmisartan, a long-acting angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), with Cilnidipine, a dual L-type and N-type calcium channel blocker, to provide comprehensive blood pressure control through complementary mechanisms. The combination offers effective once-daily management of hypertension by reducing peripheral vascular resistance, promoting vasodilation, suppressing the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, and improving cardiovascular protection while maintaining sustained antihypertensive efficacy.

Telplus Tablets are indicated for the treatment of hypertension.

Telmisartan selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor in vascular smooth muscle and the adrenal gland, thereby inhibiting the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II. It has a much greater affinity for the AT1 receptor than the AT2 receptor, resulting in reduced peripheral vascular resistance and lowered blood pressure. Cilnidipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle cells, producing vasodilation. Its greater selectivity for vascular smooth muscle contributes to effective blood pressure reduction while complementing the antihypertensive action of telmisartan.

The recommended dosage is one tablet orally once daily, or as directed by the treating physician.

Telplus Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity (including anaphylaxis or angioedema) to telmisartan, cilnidipine, or any component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with cardiogenic shock, recent myocardial infarction or acute unstable angina, and severe aortic stenosis.
