Each tablet contains Torsemide 10 mg, 20 mg, or 100 mg.

Torsinex Tablets are indicated for the treatment of hypertension and edema associated with congestive heart failure. They help reduce excess fluid accumulation and improve cardiovascular function by promoting effective diuresis.

Torsemide is a loop diuretic that acts within the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle, where it inhibits the Na⁺/K⁺/2Cl⁻ cotransporter. This inhibition decreases the reabsorption of sodium and chloride, leading to increased urinary excretion of sodium, chloride, and water. The resulting reduction in extracellular fluid volume helps relieve edema and contributes to lowering blood pressure.

For edema associated with congestive heart failure, the recommended initial dose is 10 mg or 20 mg once daily. For hypertension, the recommended initial dose is 5 mg once daily, which may be increased to 10 mg once daily after 4–6 weeks, if required, or as directed by the physician.

Torsinex Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Torsemide, povidone, or any other component of the formulation. They are also contraindicated in patients with anuria and hepatic coma.
