Turbovas ASP Capsules combine Rosuvastatin, a potent statin, with Aspirin, an antiplatelet agent, to provide comprehensive cardiovascular protection. Rosuvastatin effectively lowers LDL cholesterol and improves the lipid profile, while Aspirin reduces platelet aggregation, helping to prevent thrombus formation. This dual-action therapy is beneficial for patients with dyslipidemia associated with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and helps reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and peripheral vascular disease when used alongside appropriate lifestyle modifications.

Turbovas ASP Capsules are indicated for the treatment of dyslipidaemia associated with atherosclerotic arterial disease in patients at risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, or peripheral vascular disease.

Rosuvastatin is a selective and competitive inhibitor of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme involved in cholesterol biosynthesis. By reducing hepatic cholesterol synthesis, it increases LDL receptor expression and enhances the clearance of circulating low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, resulting in significant reductions in LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol. Aspirin irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) in platelets through acetylation, thereby suppressing the synthesis of thromboxane A₂, a potent mediator of platelet activation and aggregation. This antiplatelet effect persists for the lifespan of the platelet and helps reduce the risk of thrombotic cardiovascular events.

The recommended dose is one capsule once daily, taken orally after food, at any convenient time of the day, or as directed by the physician.

Turbovas ASP Capsules are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Rosuvastatin, Aspirin, or any component of the formulation. They are also contraindicated in patients with active liver disease, including unexplained persistent elevations in hepatic transaminase levels, asthma associated with nasal polyps or aspirin sensitivity, rhinitis with aspirin hypersensitivity, active bleeding disorders, and in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
