Amlong Tablets contain Amlodipine, a long-acting dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that provides effective 24-hour blood pressure control and antianginal activity. It reduces peripheral vascular resistance, improves coronary blood flow, and helps lower cardiovascular risk in patients with hypertension and angina pectoris. The once-daily dosing regimen enhances patient convenience and treatment adherence.

Amlong Tablets are indicated for the treatment of hypertension and angina pectoris.

Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits the transmembrane influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle. By relaxing peripheral arterial smooth muscle, it reduces peripheral vascular resistance, lowers blood pressure, and decreases cardiac workload. Its vasodilatory action also improves coronary blood flow, making it effective in the management of angina pectoris.

The recommended starting dose is 5 mg once daily, with a maximum recommended dose of 10 mg once daily. Small, fragile, elderly patients, or patients with hepatic impairment may be started on 2.5 mg once daily, or as directed by the physician.

Amlong Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Amlodipine or any component of the formulation.
